Current status: advertising is off

The VIN lookup works without an account, advertising cookies, or analytics. Our application does not currently set cookies, local storage, or other browser identifiers. Advertisement boxes reserve space only; they do not load an ad network. There are no optional cookies to accept or reject on this release, so we do not show a cookie-consent banner.

What a lookup still processes

Cookie-free does not mean no information is processed. We send lookup parameters to NHTSA, cache vehicle information, and use technical request information to operate and protect the site. The VIN is part of its report URL. See the privacy policy for details.

Advertising consent and opt-out controls

We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-site behavioral advertising. There is no advertising consent to withdraw or advertising sale or sharing to opt out of on this release. This page is informational and does not record or change a browser preference.

Before advertising is enabled, we will provide applicable consent, rejection, and opt-out controls, including a way to revisit your choices. A privacy notice alone does not provide consent. We will not treat visiting the website or using the free report as acceptance of advertising.

Browser controls and external sites

You can use browser settings to inspect or remove stored site data. Removing browser history or site data does not erase hosting logs or public NHTSA records. External websites have separate privacy controls and may use cookies of their own.
